Ordering Our Coffee

Availability and pricing

Our coffees are chosen seasonally and are subject to change, including prices. Coffees and pricing are kept up to date on our wholesale website. We keep the prices of individual lots of coffee stable throughout the time we are roasting them.

Ordering

Orders must be received via our wholesale website by midnight on Sunday for delivery the following week. Orders may not be placed via text, messages or emails.

We have a minimum order of 3kgs for trade orders.

Standing orders

If you need a regular delivery, you may set up a standing order via our roast team (roast@steampunkcoffee.co.uk) but unless this has been pre-agreed, no standing order will be assumed and we will only roast orders received via the website.

Payment Terms

For new customers, we will require payment prior to shipping and for existing customers we will expect payment within 14 days of invoicing. For any enquiries relating to billing please contact our accountant Anne Baird.

 

Selling our coffee

Roast Date

Freshness is crucial in coffee. We recommend that coffee is used within four to six weeks of roasting and no later than 3 months post roast date. Customers need to be made aware of the roast date on our packaging and our retail coffees may not be sold more than 3 months post roast date.

RRP

Our retail coffees may not be sold for less than our RRP, unless they are nearing their best before date and are reduced to clear. The roast date must be made clear to the customer in this case.

Online sales

Our coffees may not be sold online without express prior consent from Steampunk. We reserve the right to refuse permission for reselling online.

White label

We do not offer a white label roasting service, our coffees may only be sold in Steampunk branded packaging (with the exception of refills of customer’s containers) and may not be repackaged for sale with different branding.

Shipping & Delivery

We ship through Parcel Force who will notify you directly of expected delivery time. Wholesale orders are generally delivered on Thursdays. We offer free shipping on orders of 10kg or over to the UK and orders under 10kgs will be charged shipping at cost price.

 

Quality

QC

We place our utmost focus and efforts on quality control. We cup every batch of coffee we roast prior to shipping to ensure we are happy with its quality and consistency. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the quality of the coffee please contact us on roast@steampunkcoffee.co.uk immediately for assistance.

Training

As the quality behind our Steampunk brand is of such high importance both to us and to cafes serving our coffee, we work closely with our wholesale partners to provide support and training as required. We offer free barista training here at our cafe in North Berwick and are happy to arrange this as needed.

Brand protection

We reserve the right to stop supplying a customer if our coffee is not being served or sold with appropriate regard to the quality of our brand or in contravention of our T&Cs.
