Recommendations For Espresso

AMANDA GALHERI // BRAZIL ESPRESSO

Our Brazilian coffee is an absolute winner if you want a solid, familiar, crowd-pleasing coffee that shines through milky drinks like lattes and flat whites whilst also tasting exceptional black. Our Brazilian lot changes every so often throughout the year to ensure we're roasting the freshest coffee available, but it always has the same great profile: chocolatey, creamy, nutty, sweet, and tasting excellent with or without milk.

MASENGA HILL, BURUNDI // SEASONAL SELECTION

Along with our Brazil, we select an additional seasonal lot which we use for espresso based drinks on our own bar. This lot will always have a more complex, balanced flavour profile, and is a great option if you wish to showcase how great specialty coffee can be. We change these beans every three to four months in line with seasonality and what is freshly landed in the UK.

After cupping through samples from Burundi this year we couldn’t pick just one so we bought both this washed process lot and a natural process lot. It’s a great opportunity to taste both processing methods side-by-side and discover their impact on the final cup. Here you’ll find layers of florals, well structured fruitiness and high sweetness.

N.B. Due to omniroasting, all of our coffees can work for espresso or filter depending on your preferences, but these two selections work particularly well with milk-based drinks.

If you have any questions in regard to espresso options, please don't hesitate to email us at wholesale@steampunkcoffee.co.uk or get us on Instagram @steampunkroast! We can always chat through what might work best for you, and offer samples of anything you'd like to try.

Small Lots

The smaller lots are where we really flex the ‘special’ in specialty coffee. These are exceptional coffees our roasters have chosen to represent the best each origin has to offer right now. These can be brewed as espresso or they will shine as a filter brew or pour over. They’re great to have on your shelf as retail packs for your customers to take home. These change frequently, usually every one to two months.

Quality Control & Consistency

We cup every batch of coffee we roast. That way we know that our coffee will be consistent as well as delicious. Our wholesale partners tell us that one of the reasons they love serving Steampunk coffees are their consistency which means you can be sure of every cup you serve to your customers.
